Psychotherapy

Therapy begins with an evaluation of your needs and concerns, followed by discussion of the length and nature of treatment. I work with you at a pace you’re comfortable with and in a manner that is nonjudgmental, compassionate and real. Built upon the safety and support of the relationship, therapy can relieve your distress in the short-term and help you make lasting, positive changes that enhance your wellbeing. Therapy can help you discover how past experiences and relationships may be compromising your present experiences and future expectations. Understanding yourself within the context of the therapeutic relationship opens the door to change. I believe that concrete strategies and information about typical psychological processes can also be enormously helpful to people who are dealing with stressful situations.
